  the behavior from the org lately had me a bit confused, as it seemed to fall outside of their norm.

  i'm not talking the hardcore armageddon wishers texting each other about peace and security, etc.

  * but, the elders contacting people daily, and having extra meetings where they have all their additional rules.

  not only do they want everyone dressed up for the zoom meetings( which i won't do) they decided to keep the zoom meeting at 1pm sunday!

  so they don't upset their spiritual routine!

  Heard the letter. No mention of aid flowing back. The elders have a list of phone numbers for unemployment, health agencies, all the gov. programs. No mention of starting a food bank, or mentioning salvation army, catholic relief, or mormon charities.

  Covid-19 (Coronavirus) - Status Update Thread

  this topic is to focus on status updates & advice (no opinion or politics please).. status.

  latest status is that it's serious, probably isn't going to be contained and most large companies are making contingency plans, cancelling large events etc... which i don't think would happen if it was just people being alarmist.

  the incubation period means it may have already spread further and infected many more people than are currently known, so expect jumps in the numbers over the coming days and weeks.. tracking.

  I had a extended family member end up in hospital with fever, pneumonia, the works . It was not c19. He lives in a small town, not tourist destination, but a crossroad. We jump to conclusions.

  The mask and glove is a scandal. Every idiot going in to the hospital was taking some weeks past now there arent any to steal. I cant believe there was not a local, state, national emergency supply. They have needle exchanges, narcan, free std treatment; and forms with your choice of WXYZ chromosome choices.

  Better hope for climate change to kill the virus.

  Coronavirus Positive

  hey all,.

  i'm day six of isolation, confirmed to have coronavirus.

  i have been seeing very sick cv positive patients over the last month in my a&e role (emergency physician) it was inevitable i would contract it.. just wanted to give some symptom and treatment advice, it's anecdotal but may help.. started as sore throat and headache, then croaky voice, then dry cough, then episodic transient fevers, all this over the first few days.

  The fear is people realizing they dont need this. The same for sports trying to keep the fans interest in watching some overpaid bozo do what you should be engaging in yourself. Same for the new car you dont really need. The list is endless

  Trump is a coarse man. He had a oversized and ego. But he seems less owned than any recent president.

  In the present crisis what would we expect from any one else

  Either roosevelt, truman, Eisenhower, pick your favorite then try to figure what they would do. I am at risk, but my children are in danger of not paying rent or mortgages and losing a home; that is also a subtle health threat.

  Legal Concerns About "Zoom" Meetings!

  this whole "zoom" thing has got me wondering whether some of it is legal or not.

  if a person has to dress up for a zoom meeting the way the watchtower dictates, doesn't this really go "beyond" cult?.

  even the cults who committed mass suicide were able to dress the way they wanted for their meetings.

  The camera is not on 24 7. Churches are also broadcasting services. The zoom seems to be limited to 100 hookups. Whole family on one camera.

  I lost respect for one elder making what I thought were too critical comments, on the air. They have always overstressed dress and grooming for meetings. The other side is sloppily dressed people at churches in general.

  Without the cameras I can do housework, clean guns, do anything to keep awake.

  I did hear of one person who couldnt get zoom to work promptly called out for missing meeting though
